Let Me School Ya

Do stuffy educators like airbrush tattoos? You betcha! I know because last spring Glam Rock Art-Airbrush Tattoos & Body Art was hired as the sole entertainment for the NAFSA Annual Conference (a group of international educators). The Club NAFSA dance party, was a special event for conference goers to take a break from meetings and get their groove on at one of Washington DC's hottest nightspots. Owner of the BEbar had rented out the club to the organization and hired me to provide airbrush tattoos in the VIP area of the club for over 200 NAFSA party goers.

Hors d'oeuvres were plentiful, plasma screens flashed the latest videos, and the DJ kept the party jumping. I sprayed tats non-stop on guests of all ages who were from around the world. As usual, I had to turn some customers away. Sorry guys, we were heading to our next party!

What did I learn at this event? EVERYBODY loves a temporary airbrush tattoo, educators aren't so stuffy and they can party hard!

Walk It Out

Walk it out!

Clear skies, music pumping, walkers stretching, signs blowing in the breeze. The perfect day for a walk.

Did you see Glam Rock Art at the Walk for Lupus Now, 2009 3rd Annual Fundraising Walk? As soon as walk participants saw us they were pumped! Even with balloon twisters and popcorn machines the crowd bombarded our table for a free airbrush tattoo -compliments of the Walk for Lupus Now. A line began forming once the first walker had completed the course, and it was non-stop for one and one-half hours.

Adults, teens, and children lined up for an airbrush tattoo. Unfortunately, many had to be turned away. Sorry guys, there just wasn't enough time to spray everyone!

What was the tat of the day? Anything with a butterfly. It is one of the symbols for lupus.

Raise money for a good cause and spray airbrush tattoos. Can my day get any better?

I have been an artist at heart all of my life, creating watercolor paintings, charcoal drawings, and cake decorating, but currently my preferred canvas is PEOPLE!
